PresidentAddie Kapsnershe/her/hers
Junior Major: Health and Human Sciences (International Health emphasis); Spanish "I joined CHIP because it allows the opportunity to provide direct care to underserved populations in the LA community. Basic screenings, health education, and resources such as free clinics in their area actually make a huge impact to those who lack primary care doctors. One of my favorite CHIP memories was seeing the pure excitement on a child's face after winning the bike raffle at our health fair" |
Vice PresidentElizabeth Tapiashe/her/hers
Senior Major: Health Promotion and Disease Prevention; Master of Public Health Minor: Spanish "I joined CHIP because I was drawn to its mission, which is to directly provide health services to the local community in Los Angeles. This was a great way for me to get exposure to working with community members on an individual level, which strengthened my confidence and communication skills as it relates to healthcare." |

Senior Major: Health and Human Sciences Minors: Health Policy, Natural Sciences "Being able to give back to the community that has welcomed me these past four years through CHIP has been one of the most impactful experiences I have been a part of at USC. Through basic health screenings, we are able to not only provide the resources for community members to be more knowledgeable about their own body and take control of their own health but also the empathy for them to be able to trust and confide in healthcare professionals." |
Healthsite Acquisition ChairAshley Tungshe/her/hers
Senior Major: Human Biology Minors: Psychology, Health Care Studies "CHIP is a club that intersects so many of the things I am passionate about; we deal with children, mental and physical health and providing healthcare to those that dont have as many resources available to them. It is amazing how much of an impact we can make with simple health screenings, but it becomes extremely humbling to witness the change we are creating in our community." |

Junior Major: Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Minor: Natural Sciences "I love working with the people who live in the community around USC; it is really important that we use our time here in a way that is beneficial to them. Events ChairRachel Liushe/her/hers
Sophomore Major: Biological Sciences Minor: Healthcare Studies "I joined CHIP because I wanted to gain hands-on experience providing health checkups and to serve the LA community in a concrete way. Junior Major: Health Promotion and Disease Prevention "I joined CHIP because I wanted to give back to the underserved community that surrounds USC. My favorite CHIP memory was volunteering at the Union Rescue Mission health site on Skid Row. It was so rewarding to listen to the residents’ stories while providing screenings and recommendations to promote their wellbeing. I also love the experiments with the kids that we do! It is so exciting to see the joy on kids’ faces when they get to do a cool experiment in the midst of quarantine." |
